Penaflor, Ex-Fountain Valley Kicker, Makes His Points Atop Division I-AA

Micky Penaflor, a sophomore kicker at Northern Arizona University, leads NCAA Division I-AA in scoring with 50 points in five games.

Penaflor, who played at Fountain Valley High School, kicked four field goals last week in Northern Arizona’s 32-23 victory over Idaho State. He has made 11 of 15 field goal attempts with the longest one 48 yards. He also has made 17 of 18 extra-point kicks.

Penaflor’s 50 points are a school record for a sophomore.
