Birraporetti Is This Cast’s One ‘n’ Only

Birraporetti’s, the new Italian restaurant with the Irish bar at South Coast Plaza, will be the second-hottest ticket in town Sunday night when the cast of “My One and Only”-- the hot ticket in town--gathers for its wrap party after a six-month tour.

On hand at the restaurant for star Tommy Tune will be his favorite Taittinger Blanc de Blanc wine, along with a smorgasbord of Italian fare for 300 cast members and guests: veal cannelloni Florentine, lasagna, meatballs, grilled chicken, crab cakes and chicken Alfredo. Seems Birraporetti’s of Houston feted the cast when the show opened there, and restaurant owner Michael Horan wants to bring things full circle for the performers--”cap the whole thing off,” Tune said after the show opened Wednesday night at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa.
