Local News in Brief : 1 Is Killed, 1 Seriously Injured as Car Crashes on Golf Course
A Thousands Oaks man was killed and a woman seriously injured when their car ran off Olsen Road in Thousand Oaks and hit a tree on the golf course of the Sunset Hills Country Club, authorities said.
The car’s driver, Katherine Crane, 21, also of Thousands Oaks, was listed in serious condition Thursday at Los Robles Regional Medical Center. Her passenger, Timothy Ricci, 25, died at the hospital shortly after the 3:35 p.m. accident Wednesday, Ventura County Sheriff’s Deputy Bill Flannigan said.
Crane and Ricci were just west of Erbes Road when their car veered to the right, ran off Olsen Road and hit a tree on the golf course, Flannigan said.
