4 L.A. Suspects Arrested in Kansas City

Four fugitives wanted on murder and drug charges in Los Angeles were arrested Friday by police who spotted the suspects at a motel, authorities said.

The four were arrested without incident about 10:30 a.m. at the Capri Motel, Police Sgt. Laura Mulloy said. Tonya Slie, 26; Gregory Franklin, 28; Richard Ridgley, 19, and Gerald Hardywere were arraigned in Jackson County Circuit Court on California charges of conspiracy to commit murder and conspiracy to possess cocaine for sale.

Franklin, Ridgley and Hardy were held without bond Friday at the county jail. Slie was held on $200,000 bond.

Officers had received word from Los Angeles police detectives that the four were staying in the Kansas City area, Mulloy said.

An extradition hearing was expected to be conducted Monday for the four, she said.
