The New York Giants are trying to return from oblivion and the Dallas Cowboys are seemingly headed there.

Just how far their journeys will carry them will be partially determined tonight in an NFC East grudge match.

The defending Super Bowl champion Giants (1-5) were the last NFL team to win a game this season and will try to make it two in a row against the Cowboys.

Dallas (3-3) is awash in off-the-field distractions and could be on the brink of a collapse.

During the last week alone, Dallas defensive back Victor Scott has been removed from the active roster because of a “non-football related illness,” running backs Tony Dorsett and Herschel Walker have been quoted as saying the backfield isn’t big enough for both of them, Dorsett trade rumors have surfaced and quarterback Danny White has been sued in a business-related matter.
