San Diego
A man found Wednesday locked in the trunk of his own car said he had been there since Sunday morning after a female hitchhiker he picked up kidnaped him, San Diego Police Department spokesman Bill Robinson said.
Noly Dinapo Lagrimas, 29, of Linda Vista, was found at 7:30 a.m. at Chicago and Ingulf streets in San Diego, after a passer-by heard him tapping on the trunk, Robinson said.
“He made noise, attracted attention, and police were called, “ he said.
Lagrimas told police he had picked up the woman at Mesa College Avenue and Linda Vista Road at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, Robinson said. He told police she forced him, at gunpoint, to drive to a gas station, where she met a man.
“Lagrimas said they drove him around on and off for the past two days, releasing him only to relieve himself,” Robinson said.
