Ramos Wins by Decision Over Starks
Alex Ramos, making his first appearence as a junior-middleweight, won a unanimous 10-round decison over Rod Starks Thursday night in the main event at the Irvine Marriott Hotel before a crowd of 1,100.
Ramos, who was the middle weight on the 1980 Olympic team, won on officials’ cards of 98-92, 96-93 and 96-93 over Starks, who was fighting in his first main event.
Ramos is 28-5-2, and Stark, who had won five consecutive fights, is 10-5.
