Simi Woman, 50, Is Killed by Bus
A 50-year-old woman was killed Monday when a Simi Valley Transit bus rounded a corner and struck her, police said.
The name of the woman, who lived in Simi Valley, was not released pending notification of her family.
Police said she was walking along Los Angeles Avenue and attempted to cross Madera Road when she was struck about 6:45 p.m. The bus was turning right off Los Angeles onto Madera.
The driver of the bus was not cited, police said.
