Donald Curry, hoping to advance to a title match, will fight Rigo Lopez in a 10-round junior middleweight bout tonight at the Reseda Country Club at 8 p.m.
If Curry beats Lopez, he will fight former junior middleweight champion Lupe Aquino Jan. 3 in Italy in a title unification fight.
Curry lost his welterweight title to Lloyd Hunnygun last year. He has a 27-2 record with 20 KOs. His last fight was June 18 against the World Boxing Assn. junior middleweight Mike McCallum. Curry was knocked out in fifth round.
Lopez, of San Diego, is 19-5 with 8 knockouts.
