ATLANTA — The Atlanta Hawks traded Mike McGee to the Sacramento Kings on Monday for two second-round National Basketball Assn. draft choices, one in 1991 and the other in 1995.
McGee, a seven-year veteran, was obtained from the Lakers in June, 1986, along with the rights to Ken Barlow in exchange for the rights to Billy Thompson and Ron Kellogg.
The 28-year-old guard averaged 10.4 points and 1.9 assists in 1986-87 for Atlanta. This season, he has averaged 4.6 points in 11 games.
The 6-foot 5-inch, 207-pound McGee is expected to be in uniform for the Kings’ game tonight against the Clippers.
