Chris Whyte scored two goals, including the game-winner in the fourth quarter as the Los Angeles Lazers handed the Cleveland Force its fourth straight defeat, 3-2, Wednesday night at Richfield Coliseum.

Whyte’s second goal of the game--and eighth of the season--snapped a 2-2 tie with 9:41 remaining in the game. Whyte took an outlet pass from goalkeeper David Brcic near midfield and dribbled into the Cleveland zone before scoring from 25 feet past Force goalkeeper P.J. Johns.

After a scoreless first quarter, Craig Allen put Cleveland ahead, 1-0, with his 13th goal with 4:10 elapsed in the second quarter.

The Lazers called a timeout with eight seconds remaining in the first half to insert a sixth attacker, and tied the game two seconds later on Whyte’s first goal.

The Lazers took a 2-1 lead 1:35 after the start of the third quarter on a goal by Zoran Savic. Then, Cleveland’s Ali Kazemaini tied the game, 2-2, on a goal off a free kick with 1:10 left in the quarter.
