Bay Area Fan Offers a Couple of Suggestions
- Share via
As a transplanted Bay Area native now living in San Diego, I offer the following thoughts and fantasies:
1) The Raiders definitely need a new stadium to bring the game closer to the fans. Anyone who ever saw the Raider-Chief game in Oakland will attest to this point.
2) Fred Claire has done the Bay Area a great service. Moving Bob Welch out of the National League will ease a lot of pain and anguish from the hearts of Giants fans, plus add about 3-5 wins a year for the Candlestickers. Moving him to the Oakland A’s was the next best alternative. Now maybe my dream of a Bay Bridge World Series can come true. Thanks, Fred. Christmas came early in Baghdad by the Bay.
3) Someday . . . California will beat UCLA in football and go to the Rose Bowl. Now, that’s a dreamer for you.
