Local News in Brief : Woman’s Remains Found

Share

Human bones discovered beneath a house in Venice were identified Wednesday as that of a female adult, whose death is being investigated by Los Angeles homicide detectives, authorities said Wednesday.

Although the case “is still a mystery that is unfolding,” Lt. Ross Moen said, the coroner’s office was able to determine that the remains were from an “adult female who’s been buried for some time.”

Investigators, however, were unable to identify the woman, although that may be accomplished as early as next week, Moen said.

Construction workers found the remains while remodeling a home on Nowita Place, where Raymond Johnson and his wife have lived for two years.
