2 Chula Vista Men Beaten in Home

Two Chula Vista men were robbed and beaten, one critically, in their apartment, police said Saturday.

One of the men suffered blows to the head and was listed in critical condition at UC San Diego Medical Center, a police spokesman said. Neither police nor hospital officials were able to identify the critically injured man. The other victim, Terry Harris, remained overnight at the hospital and was released Saturday.

According to police, a witness saw four men enter the victims' apartment in the 200 block of Woodlawn Avenue at 11:57 p.m. Friday. The witness shortly thereafter heard screams, yells and scuffling sounds coming from the apartment. The witness then saw the four men leave.

Police said that the four men remain at large.
