Nets’ Coleman, Gminski Traded to Philadelphia
The New Jersey Nets traded center Mike Gminski and forward Ben Coleman to the Philadelphia 76ers Saturday night in exchange for center Tim McCormick, forward Roy Hinson and a draft choice.
The Nets will get a 1989 second-round pick that Philadelphia acquired from Chicago in a prior trade.
New Jersey also agreed to waive its right to a conditional 1990 second-round pick from Philadelphia, which was part of the deal that sent Albert King from the Nets to the 76ers earlier this season.
The 6-foot 11-inch Gminski is averaging nearly 17 points and 10 rebounds a game this season.
