“For the first tournament of the year, they played pretty well,” CSUN Coach Jim Bracken said. “This was not a bad showing for us.”
Senior Tony Chieffo was CSUN’s second-highest finisher. He shot a 234 to place in the top 15.
The Matadors played in gusty winds Monday and wet course conditions in Tuesday’s final round. CSUN plays UCLA in a tournament at Industry Hills on Monday.
