Walnut : Restaurant Smoking Rule
The City Council has voted 4 to 1 to require any restaurant that can accommodate more than 50 customers to set aside at least 25% of the dining area for nonsmokers. The ordinance affects two of the city’s 14 restaurants and one under construction.
Walnut adopted the ordinance after the county enacted a similar measure for restaurants in unincorporated areas.
