Sheriff’s homicide detectives are seeking information on the beating death of an unidentified man found on the shoulder of the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 in Encinitas Wednesday.

The man, described as a Latino between 25 and 35 years of age, was found shortly after 8 p.m. by sheriff’s deputies on the east shoulder of the highway, just south of the Encinitas Boulevard overpass.
