A 25-year-old unemployed man being sought for questioning in the shooting deaths of two brothers and the wounding of another man at the Rincon Indian Reservation was arrested Tuesday, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department reported.

Danny Mendoza, 25, was arrested at 12:50 a.m. in the 5700 block of North River Road, where he had been staying with his mother, deputies said. He was being held in the County Jail in Vista.

Deputies said the house had been under surveillance by sheriff’s homicide detectives and Mendoza was seen leaving the house in a stolen vehicle. Mendoza, whom deputies described as a transient, was then arrested without incident, deputies said.
