Detectives investigating a rash of thefts from San Fernando Valley self-storage lockers have arrested a North Hollywood man and recovered about $100,000 worth of property from his home and two garages, Los Angeles police said Wednesday.

Police recovered “several truckloads” of television sets, VCRs, computers, sporting goods, firearms and tools that they found stuffed in the house and garages of Anthony Michael Stubbins, 33, an unemployed telephone repairman, Lt. Doug Collisson said.

He said the investigation leading to Stubbins’ arrest early Tuesday was prompted by increasing reports of burglaries of self-storage lockers, especially in North Hollywood, Northridge and Chatsworth. Detectives believe Stubbins, who was arrested on suspicion of receiving stolen property, burglarized more than 100 of the lockers, he said.
