What Will Be Closed for Holiday

In observance of Lincoln’s birthday today, all city, county and state courts will be closed. Also, all city, county, state and federal offices will be closed Monday in honor of Presidents’ Day, which officially commemorates the birthdays of Presidents Lincoln and Washington.

City and county schools will also be closed today and Monday, and all San Diego libraries will close their doors Monday only.

All post offices will also be closed Monday, with no regular mail delivery. Mail will be picked up from all collection boxes on the holiday schedule. However, the bulk-mail acceptance unit at the Main Post Office on Midway Drive will remain open Monday. Special-delivery and Express Mail services will also continue as usual.

San Diego city trash collections will be one day late all next week. The Miramar landfill will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, but the Montgomery landfill will be closed.

San Diego Transit buses will operate at reduced levels of service Monday, with buses following the Saturday schedules. Routes 12, 13, 19, 30, 40, 50, 90 and 116 will not run.

Chula Vista, National City and North County buses, the San Diego Trolley and Strand Routes 910 and 932 will operate on the regular weekday schedules. County buses will also run on the normal weekday schedules, with the exception of express routes 800, 810 and 820, which will not operate.

Most recreational centers will be open Monday, but county residents are advised to call neighborhood centers for hours. Chollas Lake will be open from 7 a.m. to sunset Monday, and Miramar, Otay and San Vicente lakes will be open from sunrise to sunset.

Most banks will be closed Monday. Most stores are expected to remain open.
