Valley Federal Petitions to Block Takeover by Citadel
Valley Federal Savings and Loan has filed a petition with the Federal Home Loan Bank Board urging the agency not to approve Citadel Holding Corp.’s application to take control of Valley Federal.
Valley Federal, the San Fernando Valley’s biggest financial institution, with $3.3 billion in assets, has been the subject of considerable takeover speculation since last summer.
