Mob Kills Handyman
An unemployed handyman was chased by an angry street-corner mob in San Francisco and shot to death after being accused of being an undercover narcotics agent, authorities reported. Daniel T. Foster, 30, was shot in the back as he ran from the jeering crowd, several members of which were allegedly high on “crack” cocaine, police said. The mob earlier had clashed with police and forced officers to retreat under a barrage of rocks and bottles in the Hunters Point area.
