Former Brigham Young football player Steve Sanders was sentenced to one year’s probation and 30 days in jail after pleading guilty to forging a prescription and violating the terms of an earlier parole.
In April 1987, Sanders and former teammate Trevor Molini both were arrested on drug prescription charges involving the painkiller Percodan.
The two, who were expelled from BYU, had been arrested in December of 1986 for similar violations and had completed a drug treatment program in January.
