Donald Searcy, 43, of Santa Paula was arrested for investigation of drunk driving. He was later booked at the Victorville jail for investigation of murder, the California Highway Patrol said. Officers said Searcy’s car crossed into opposing traffic on Avenue I in the San Bernardino County community and slammed into a vehicle driven by Linda Hodkinson, 33, of Hesperia, who died at the scene. Her two sons suffered minor injuries. Searcy, who was held without bail pending arraignment Wednesday, was unhurt.
