4.5 Earthquake Not Tied to Volcano Jolts Kilauea

VOLCANO, Hawaii —
An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale shook the south flank of Kilauea but was unrelated to the volcano’s continuing eruption that began five years ago, scientists said. No injuries or damage were reported in the earthquake Tuesday night.
