Hollywood : Teen-Ager Dies From Fall
A Sun Valley teen-ager has died of multiple head injuries incurred last week when she fell off a cliff in the area of Griffith Park below the Hollywood sign.
Funeral services are scheduled for today for Susan Diaz, 16, who was on a picture-taking expedition with two family members and a friend when the accident occurred last Wednesday. She was taken by helicopter to St. Joseph Hospital in Burbank, where she died.
Diaz’s brother, Michael Diaz, also fell but was not seriously injured.
A resident of the adjacent Hollywoodland neighborhood spotted the hikers and phoned paramedics.
