Father of Collins Sisters Dies

British theatrical agent Joe Collins, father of “Dynasty” star Joan Collins and novelist Jackie Collins, has died of a kidney infection in London at 85, relatives said today.

His clients during a career spanning more than 50 years included actors Roger Moore and Peter Sellers, singers Vera Lynn and Shirley Bassey, and the Beatles, whose 1963 and 1964 London Christmas shows Collins masterminded. “I think I can claim that almost every person in every land has had some form of entertainment, some pleasure brought their way by one member or another of my family,” he wrote in his autobiography, “A Touch of Collins.”
