Two people died early Saturday as a result of separate traffic accidents in the county, both after drivers ran red lights, police said.

Debora Ann Johnson, 27, was arrested in connection with the death of Darla Janelle White, 24, in a collision in Anaheim at 2:47 a.m.

Police said Johnson ran a red light on La Palma Avenue and East Street at a high rate of speed. Her car collided with a car driven by Nedra Lynn White, 30, who was driving north on East Street. Police said the impact sent White’s car into a driveway at the northeast corner of the intersection.

Darla White, a passenger in Nedra White’s car, was pronounced dead at Anaheim Memorial Hospital. The two drivers were treated for minor injuries and released from UC Irvine Medical Center. The addresses of the three women were not released by the police.

Johnson was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and felony drunk driving.

In Santa Ana, Robert A. Boice, 74, of Orange died Saturday of injuries suffered when he and his wife, Fern R. Boice, 67, were struck by a car as they were about cross an intersection on 17th Street near English Street early Friday.

Police said Christina Pratt, 19, of Westminster was driving west on 17th Street when she ran a red light. Her truck collided with an eastbound car turning left on English. Pratt’s car spun out of control, jumped a curb, and struck the Boices.

The couple was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center. Fern R. Boice was in serious condition Saturday, police said.

Pratt was cited at the scene for running a red light.
