Events in the news this week.
Tuesday is election day in Los Alamitos and San Juan Capistrano. Los Alamitos voters will choose among four candidates--two incumbents and two challengers--for two council seats. They will also vote on a measure that would consolidate future City Council races with state and national ones held in June and November and on a proposed hike in the city’s business tax. Two of five council seats in San Juan Capistrano will be filled in Tuesday’s election.
