Glendale Fire Forces 20 to Evacuate
A fire in a Glendale apartment building forced the evacuation of more than 20 residents Sunday, officials said.
None of the residents was injured but one fireman was treated for heat exhaustion. Battalion Chief Joel Markss of the Glendale Fire Department said that about 60 firefighters battled the blaze, which broke out at 7 p.m. One apartment and an adjacent hallway of the 21-unit complex at 336 N. Louise St. were destroyed.
The fire was reported under control at 7:40 p.m. The cause was under investigation.
