Charles Oakley of the Chicago Bulls, the leading rebounder in the National Basketball Assn., was given a multi-year contract extension.
Terms were not announced, but it was reported earlier that Oakley would be paid $1 million a season for the next six years.
Oakley was in the final year of a contract that was paying him $375,000 a season.
