Three men, including two doctors from the Kaiser Permanente San Diego Medical Center on Mission Gorge Road, were recovering Sunday after their 30-foot pleasure boat caught fire off the Coronado Islands Saturday night.

The victims were rescued from the burning boat shortly after 7 p.m. and airlifted to the UC San Diego Medical Center burn unit. Dr. Steve Howard, the most seriously burned, was listed in good condition Sunday, a hospital spokesman said. The other two victims, Dr. Steve Gottlieb and Gene Payn, whose address wasn’t available, were treated and released.
