Local News in Brief : Laguna Hills : Highway Patrol Seeking Witnesses to Collision
Authorities are looking for people who may have witnessed an accident Tuesday morning that critically injured a Laguna Hills woman.
The accident occurred about 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Laguna Hills Drive and Paseo de Valencia, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said.
A red Chevrolet pickup truck, driven by Douglas Gallagher, 31, of Garden Grove, collided with a black Pontiac Grand-Am driven by Darlene Long, 51, of Laguna Hills, when the two tried to turn into the intersection at the same time, the CHP spokesman said.
Long was in listed in critical condition at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center, officials said. Gallagher was not injured. Authorities said no charges were filed in the accident.
