Local News in Brief : Fountain Valley : 2 Men, Youth Held on Suspicion of Rape
Two men and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of kidnaping and rape Tuesday night after Fountain Valley police found them holding a 33-year-old Garden Grove woman in a car parked near the Santa Ana River bed, police said.
Benito Marcial, 24, of Garden Grove and Santos M. Flores, 21, of Santa Ana were booked into County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail, said Sgt. Larry Griswald of the Fountain Valley police. The youth, a resident of Santa Ana, was taken to Juvenile Hall, Griswald said.
Officers Mario Miramontes and James Floren were investigating a Ford LTD parked on a dirt road about 9 p.m. when they heard a woman’s screams coming from the car, Griswald said. The woman had been abducted about 30 minutes earlier near the corner of Clinton and 17th streets in Garden Grove, he said.
