Fullerton and Cal Split Doubleheader

Cal State Fullerton split the doubleheader against Cal at Berkeley Sunday, winning the opener, 1-0 and dropping the second game, 1-0.

In the first game, Anjie Bryant pitched a one-hitter to raise her record to 23-6. Fullerton’s Charise Monroe scored the winning run on Cathi Hall’s RBI. In the second game, Cal’s Erin Cassidy pitched a two-hitter for the victory. Losing pitcher Janis Okerlund gave up six hits and walked Cal’s Angie Jacobs with the bases loaded, forcing across the winning run. Seventh-ranked Fullerton is 46-14. No. 14 Cal is 33-19.
