A previously unreleased reading by Jim Morrison of his poem “Untitled” will be the centerpiece of “Requiem for the Americas,” an album that will benefit the Save the Children organization. The charity project is being organized by film composer Jonathan Elias, who scored the recently released films “Two Moon Junction” and “Shakedown.” Elias also composed music to accompany the reading by the Doors former lead singer, who died in 1971. Among others scheduled to work with Elias on the record are Duran Duran singer Simon Le Bon, Susannah Hoffs of the Bangles and Patty Scialfa of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band. A July release is planned for the album.
