Green Is NFL’s Fastest for 2nd Time in 3 Years
Darrell Green of the Super Bowl champion Washington Redskins won the NFL’s Fastest Man competition Saturday for the second time in three years.
Green, who earned $20,000, defeated another cornerback, Rod Woodson of the Pittsburgh Steelers, in the 60-yard final, with a time of 6.10 seconds. Woodson was timed in 6.25.
Green defeated wide receiver Mark Duper of the Miami Dolphins and running back Herschel Walker of the Dallas Cowboys to advance to the final. Woodson, who pocketed $15,000, beat wide receivers Ricky Nattiel of the Denver Broncos and Willie Gault.
