Times Mirror Co. has announced that Clayton W. Frye Jr. was elected a director at a meeting of the board in New York. Frye, 58, is senior associate of Laurance S. Rockefeller in New York and a director of several companies, including Tejon Ranch Co., Embarcadero Center Ltd., California Pacific Commercial Corp., Rockefeller & Co., and Rockresorts Inc.
