When the Coyotes Are All Gone
After we kill off all of the remaining coyotes, as Jerry Stormo suggests (Letters, May 24), then we will eliminate the only natural means of controlling the ground squirrels in the Southern California area, which are known to carry bubonic plague. Perhaps Mr. Stormo would avail himself as a replacement for the coyote and control the ground squirrel menance as a service to mankind.
