Sheriff’s deputies, responding to a report of a loud party and gunshots in the 10800 block of Garza Street shortly before midnight Saturday, found a man with at least seven stab wounds lying in that street in Anaheim, Lt. Jay Mendez said.

The victim, identified only as Rene Martinez, was treated by paramedics and taken to UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange, where he was listed in satisfactory condition Sunday. Mendez said the wounds are not life-threatening.

Deputies later learned that a second stabbing victim, identified as Gerardo Hernandez, 22, had been wounded in the incident but had driven himself to Martin Luther Hospital in Anaheim and was released from the hospital by Sunday morning.

Meanwhile, Mendez said a second stabbing occurred during a fight between two men about 1:21 a.m. Sunday in the parking lot of the Lions Club of Stanton in the 10500 block of Chestnut Avenue, which is near the scene of the first fight.

Mario Cadanas, 20, was wounded and taken to Anaheim Humana Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition Sunday. Antonio Boliva, 22, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon in the stabbing. Boliva was treated at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center for unknown, but apparently minor, injuries and was later booked into Orange County Jail, Mendez said.
