George Snider of Bakersfield, driving a car owned by A.J. Foyt, averaged 104.924 m.p.h. to win the 100-mile featured dirt-car race at the A.J. Foyt Skoal racesin Milwaukee.
The lead changed hands several times before Snider took over on lap No. 87 and led the rest of the way, winning by about five car lengths over Gene Lee Gibson of Richwood, Ohio.
Third place went to Johnny Parsons of Speedway, Ind.
