Pathetic Death of a Cougar
One recoils at the spectacle of a mountain cat being butchered by lethal cross-fire while resting quietly in someone’s back yard in Pasadena. If the authorities were concerned about thrill-seeking spectators, why didn’t they disperse the crowd and warn them to stay indoors, as they would in any other kind of emergency?
There has to be a serious defect in our values to condone such a slaughter of the innocent.
