Four fires thought to be arsons were set within 2 1/2 hours of each other on National Avenue early Friday morning, according to the San Diego Fire Department.
The fires--all within 13 blocks of each other--shared “similarities,” according to officials. They occurred between 3:20 a.m. and 5:45 a.m. at four addresses: a two-story building and adjacent restaurant, both vacant, at 2673 and 2685 National Ave.; a vehicle outside 3948 National Ave.; a storage area under a stairwell of a two-story building at 3941 National Ave., and behind a liquor store in an office area at 3795 National Ave.
No injuries were reported from the blazes, which caused more than $70,000 in damage. The fires are being investigated.
