J.D. Hill, former wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions, was among 27 people arrested during an undercover police operation for alleged cocaine possession in Sacramento.
Police said Hill, 39, was arrested Friday during the 10-hour sting in which police posed as dealers of “rock” cocaine, then arrested their customers on felony charges.
In 1986, Hill spoke at an anti-drug rally with Jesse Jackson at a Sacramento high school. His son, Lonzell Hill, is a New Orleans Saints wide receiver.
