Share

The Los Angeles Raiders football team is $2.88 million richer now that a state appeals court has upheld a judgment to the team for fighting off Oakland’s attempts to reclaim it.

The 1st District Court of Appeal in San Francisco on Wednesday upheld the ruling to award legal fees and costs to the team for the eight years of litigation. Noting that the court ruled on different aspects of the case five times, Justice Donald King wrote: “The City of Oakland has now brought the Raiders to the appellate courts of California more often than the Raiders took the City of Oakland to the Super Bowl.”
