Michael Douglas is competing with himself on the Billboard magazine rental chart. “Wall Street,” (No. 2) featuring Douglas’ Oscar-winning performance, is right behind his other smash hit from 1987, “Fatal Attraction.” But Douglas soon may not be the only star with two Top 10 rentals--two Dennis Quaid thrillers are on the rise--”Suspect” (No. 16) and “D.O.A.” (No. 19). “Cry Freedom,” in the news recently because it was forcibly withdrawn from South African theaters, is doing fair business in the American rental market. It’s No. 23.

* “Action Jackson,” a sex-and-violence epic pairing Carl Weathers and Vanity, is something of a throwback to the blaxploitation films of the early ‘70s. In the No. 7 spot, it is doing bang-up rental business.
