Brian’s Time rallied from last place to win the $183,300 Jim Dandy Stakes by 5 1/2 lengths at Saratoga Race Track. Evening Kris was the runner-up in the field of 10, three-quarters of a length ahead of Din’s Dancer.
Brian’s Time, ridden by Angel Cordero Jr., was in last place at the half-mile pole. But the Preakness runner-up rallied to take the lead midway through the stretch.
The winner went 1 1/8 miles on a muddy track in 1:48 1/5 for his third victory in nine starts this year and his first since winning the Florida Derby at Gulfstream on March 5.
Brian’s Time, who finished third in the Belmont Stakes and sixth in the Kentucky Derby, paid $5, $3.20 and $3.
