Las Vegas bookmakers have trimmed the odds on the Kings winning the Stanley Cup from 100-1 to 30-1 in the wake of the team’s acquisition of Wayne Gretzky from the Edmonton Oilers.

“That’s the biggest move we’ve ever seen in hockey. Probably in any sport,” said Richie Vaccellieri of Caesars Palace Sports Book. “Even if Magic Johnson went from the Lakers to the Clippers, it wouldn’t change the odds as much as the Gretzky trade did.”
