Kansas Will Play 12 NCAA Tournament Teams

College basketball champion Kansas has announced a 30-game regular-season schedule for 1988-89 that includes 12 games against teams that participated in the NCAA tournament last season.

The Jayhawks will play road games against Duke, Temple, Miami and Texas Tech and home games against Wichita State and SMU. The Big Eight schedule includes Oklahoma, which Kansas defeated in the championship game, and another NCAA tournament entrant, Kansas State.

Kansas plays home exhibition games Nov. 7 against Spirit Express and Nov. 19 against the Soviet National team. The Jayhawks begin the regular season at the Great Alaska Shootout Nov. 25-28 and open their conference schedule Jan. 7 at home against Iowa State.
